Drakus Kaelen: the hellgod of Keldra is the son of the deceased and disgraced god Solus Kaelen. He's brother to Phoenix and Rowan Kaelen. He's uncle to Samuel Kaelen. As the firstborn child of the dead Chieftain (Solus), Drake inherited his father's powers and became the Chieftain of the Great House of the Flame. As head of his clan, Drakus is the god of the hell realms, Nadherna, Rathel, Konor, Jesaurek, and theoretically, Nanür.

He's a changed man, but his loyalties still lie with his Tzars and his loved ones. He's a true creature of fire and loves fiercely. Drake is smart; he has to be to keep the hell realms in check - demons are tricky bastards - but he often hides his smarts by behaving like a thug. His manner may seem harsh, but there is a tender side there, witnessed only by a few. In fact, with his beloveds, Drake is more likely to be gentle and merciful than the twin Tzars. That said, He's a dragon, a savage hunter and predator who has needs to sate, just as much as they.

Originally, Drake had been turned by a Nekrin Queen into a vampire, which was not the destiny the Mother Nebula had planned for him. For centuries she agonised over how to remove the vampire curse and reinstate Drake's true form, that of a quralir (shapeshifter) dragon.

It wasn't until the Great War of the Kiur came about, when the Architect Himself, allied with the UnGod, battled invading Powers, that she had her chance. Directly after the war was won, the kiur was in a state of flux, and so throughout the strands, Danaë altered Drake's DNA - with the blessing of the Arc - who has long sought to make a few tweaks of his own throughout the kiur.

Now Drakus Kaelen is free to pursue his rightful destiny.

As a vampire, ruling over the hell realms was fraught with difficulties, as on Keldra, there is an ancient enmity between vampires and demons. Most of the demon races didn't take kindly to the rule of a vampire god, although Kaelen did have his demon allies.

Now he's a powerful dragonshifter; all of the hell realms have suddenly fallen into line. This is due to fear, as all the hell species fear dragons, but Drake is perfectly happy to work with that. He has now been claimed by Keldra's sentient races of dragons as their own and their god, the Kheriklor, King of Dragons.

The Immortal Seal - An illegal and dangerous soul-bond. Drake and Kirwyn Ravenhead shared this bond. Effectively their souls were as one. This was necessary when /Drake was still a vampire, to change him from the vicious strain of the Nekrin, to the new race of warrior vampires, the Esprit Libre (The free spirits.) In most of the strands after the War for the Kiur, Danaë was able to break the bond. She chose to leave it unbroken in some strands, for Reasons.

Qorad-verse: Drake is in a pack with Ylaia Narumi, Kirwyn Ravenhead, and the immortal human female, Elsa Walmsley. Drake still shares the Immortal Seal with Kirwyn.

Nanür-verse: Drake and Kirwyn had grown apart in this AU, and the Seal has been broken. Drake is without a pack, but will, however, find a new mate in the form of a young Titan whom the Kayori have adopted.
